An original and unusual break.
Plaghia Boat and Breakfast can offer three 75 – 80 ft gullets where wood reigns supreme and the atmosphere is redolent of times gone by. The comfortable furnishings on board together with Campanian hospitality will make the experience unique and unforgettable. There are three vessels to choose from, each with its own charm, all with distinctive, spacious cabins, each with its own bathroom. All three vessels have mahogany dining tables on deck where a wholesome Mediterranean breakfast is served – the best way to start the day. There is also an elegant internal dinette area where guests can relax during the afternoons and evenings, reading a good book, watching a film, playing chess or listening to music. All three boats provide an ideal setting not only for an alternative holiday or weekend but also for work encounters. The dinette can be transformed into a meeting room and we can provide equipment if required. You shall be given the warmest welcome, in any case, and your stay will surely be unique.
Period
Mid September to the end of May. During the summer, all three vessels sail in the Mediterranean, stopping for a dip in bays and inlets which can only be reached by sea.

Where to find us
The boats are moored in the new Marina di Stabia – in a former industrial area converted into a modern, marine structure, at only 5 minutes from the A3 motorway/highway exit Pompei Nord. Apart from a large car park, the Yacht Club also has an excellent restaurant, run by the well-known chef Peppe Aversa, owner of the restaurant Il Buco in Sorrento. There is a breathtaking view over the whole of the Bay of Naples: from the protected nature reserve Punta Campanella to the Isle of Capri and from Ischia to Vesuvius all in one glance.

What to visit in the area
Marina di Stabia is an ideal departure point from which to visit the attractions of Campania Felix. The excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum are minutes away. Vesuvius, Naples, Sorrento, the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida, the Amalfi Coast with Ravello, Positano and Amalfi can all be reached in a short time. You can also visit: the villa of Oplontis, the stunning Stabian Roman villas (villa Arianna and San Marco), the Antiquarium at Boscoreale, the paleo-Christian Baptistery of St Mary Major at Nocera Superiore, the Petrarsa di Porti Museum (the first locomotive), the Correale Museum and Pollio Felice villa in Sorrento, the Roman Villa in Maiori, the frescoes in Santa Maria de Olearia in Maiori, the Greek temples of Paestum, Cumae and the Sybil’s cave, Pozzuoli and its amphitheatre, the archaeological park at Baia, the Thermal baths of Nero at Bacoli. Why not take a walk along the Path of the gods, high above the Amalfi coast or a trip up to Monte Faito with its stunning view over the Bay of Naples and maybe a relaxing dip in the nearby thermal waters of Stabia. Only a few kilometres away, you can taste the delights of the great ambassadors of taste of this area, the world famous chefs, Alfonso Iaccarino of Don Alfonso restaurant, Gennaro Esposito of the Torre del Saracino restaurant, Antonio Mellino of I Quattro Passi restaurant and many more, who following the example of these gourmet chefs, have contributed to the excellent wine and food reputation of the Campania region. Only half an hour away, on the hills of Vico Equense you can taste exceptional pizzas made with fior di latte fresh dairy cheese of the Monti Lattari and baked in wood-stoked pizza ovens, as well as the Provolone del Monaco (the monk’s head) cheese and a sip of real limoncello liqueur. There is plenty of shopping, too: wine cellars, cheese factories, ceramic and inlaid-wood shops as well as the fashionable Neapolitan shops on Riviera di Chiaia, Via dei Mille, the famous Galleria Umberto and crafts shops where Neapolitan crib figures are still made by hand in San Gregorio Armeno.
